Reflections & Insights
Here, I share bite-sized reflections on the themes that shape my work. These insights are drawn from my own coaching practice, personal evolution, and the lessons that emerge in the spaces between questions and answers.
Why Your Life Is Not A Journey
We often chase the next goal, the next milestone believing happiness lies just ahead. But as Alan Watts reminds us, life isn’t about reaching a destination; it’s about being present in the dance of now.
As a coach, I see this often—clients stuck in pursuit of what’s next, missing the richness of right now. Yes, growth matters, but when we’re always striving, we forget to truly live.
Generative Listening
Generative listening is the deepest form of presence, where we co-create new insights with the speaker, opening space for transformation and innovation.
In my coaching work, I’ve learned that the success of leadership and change depends on the quality of listening. The best leaders don’t just react; they adjust their listening to meet the moment, allowing for deeper understanding, clarity, and breakthrough thinking.
True listening isn’t passive; it’s an act of creation.

Shifting Mental Models
Our mental models shape how we see the world, influencing our decisions, relationships, and ability to grow. But what happens when those models—often formed from past experiences—no longer serve us?
In coaching, I help clients uncover and challenge these unconscious beliefs. The moment we shift perspective, new possibilities emerge.

Change begins when we question the lens we’re looking through.
The Trust Equation
The Trust Equation was developed by Charles H. Green, David H. Maister, and Robert M. Galford in their book The Trusted Advisor (2000). This model is widely used in leadership, coaching, and professional relationship-building to emphasize that trust is not just about competence (credibility & reliability) but also about emotional connection (intimacy) and where we place our focus (self-orientation).

✔ Credibility: Do I have the knowledge and experience to support others?
✔ Reliability: Do I follow through on commitments?
✔ Intimacy: Do I create a safe space for openness and honesty?
✔ Self-Orientation: Am I focused on the other person’s needs or my own?

Trust is not a given; it’s built, moment by moment, through authenticity and emotional intelligence.

How are you showing up in your relationships?
